The naturalism of the paintings and juxtaposition of colours combine to create a simplified reality. A few extra inches of pure exposed flesh dance above the scandalous and allow us to bathe in sexiness. The strong contrasting light, use of close-up and emphasis on detail is a reminder of the ongoing interplay with the viewer.

Taking lead from many of my paintings, her face is hidden and her anonymity is forefront. Her surroundings are ambiguous and placed in a timeless space. There is an absence of decade and era. Each pose is cropped in such a way as to invite you in. A window to your fantasy."
